Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your baking dish.

  4. Pour in the vanilla extract and stir until integrated.
Baking
  1. Evenly spread the dough into the prepared baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  2. Allow the shortbread to cool completely.
Assembly
  1. Layer the sliced strawberries on top of the cooled shortcake.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk to create a glaze.
  3. Drizzle the glaze over the strawberry layer.
  4. Slice into bars and serve.
