Ingredients

  • 500 g ground beef or lamb
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 0.5 cup tzatziki sauce
  • 10–12 cherry tomatoes
  • mini pita rounds (as needed)
  • wooden skewers (for serving)

Equipment

  • mixing bowl
  • baking sheet or frying pan
  • serving skewers or toothpicks
  • white platter

Method

  1. Prepare the meat mixture. Combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, egg, herbs, and seasoning in a large bowl. Mix gently until well combined.
  2. Shape the meatballs. Roll into 1-inch portions for uniform cooking. Keep them small for perfect Meatball Canapes size.
  3. Cook the meatballs. Bake or pan-fry until golden on the outside and juicy inside. The key is to avoid overcooking.
  4. Assemble the skewers. Add one cherry tomato, one meatball, and a cucumber slice to each skewer for a colorful Meatballs Skewers display.
  5. Add the sauce. Spoon a small amount of tzatziki over each meatball for a creamy finish.
  6. Arrange and serve. Place the skewers neatly on a white platter for the best Meatball Presentation. Sprinkle with herbs for an elegant look.
