Ingredients
  

For the pie
  • 1.5 cups pecan halves
  • 1 pie crust pre-made 9-inch pie crust or make your own!
  • 0.75 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cups light corn syrup can substitute with maple syrup
  • 0.25 cups unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 0.25 teaspoons salt
  • 0.5 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 0.25 cups heavy cream

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and place the pie crust into a 9-inch pie pan, crimping the edges as desired.
  2. Evenly spread the pecan halves at the bottom of the prepared pie crust.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and salt until smooth. Pour this mixture over the pecans.
  4. In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and heavy cream. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  5. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the pecan filling and swirl it with a knife or spoon to create a marbled look.
  6. Place the pie in the oven and bake for 50-60 minutes. The filling should be set but slightly jiggly in the center.
  7. Allow the pie to cool completely for at least 2 hours before slicing.
