Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and place the pie crust into a 9-inch pie pan, crimping the edges as desired.
- Evenly spread the pecan halves at the bottom of the prepared pie crust.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and salt until smooth. Pour this mixture over the pecans.
- In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and heavy cream. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Drizzle the melted chocolate over the pecan filling and swirl it with a knife or spoon to create a marbled look.
- Place the pie in the oven and bake for 50-60 minutes. The filling should be set but slightly jiggly in the center.
- Allow the pie to cool completely for at least 2 hours before slicing.
