  • 1 pound lean ground turkey Aim for 93% lean for juiciness.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 1/3 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 large egg Acts as a binder.
  • 4 pieces hamburger buns

  • to taste ketchup

  • to taste mayonnaise
  • to taste BBQ sauce
  • to taste lettuce
  • to taste tomato
  • to taste onion
  • to taste pickles

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Combine the ground turkey with garlic powder, onion powder, ketchup, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, egg, and breadcrumbs in a bowl. Mix just until combined.
  2. Form this mixture into four patties about ½ inch thick, creating a small indentation in the center of each patty.
  3. Place the patties on a parchment-lined plate and freeze for about 20 minutes.
Cooking
  1. For grilling, preheat your grill to medium-high and oil the grates. Grill each burger for about 4-5 minutes per side until they reach 160°F.
  2. Alternatively, cook the patties on a nonstick skillet with oil, frying them for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  3. For baking, place them in a 375°F oven for 25-30 minutes, then sear them on a hot pan for 2 minutes per side.

Notes
