Ingredients
  

For the Cookie Dough
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure at room temperature for better texture.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs Should be at room temperature.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour Can be substituted with gluten-free flour.
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
For the Topping
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips Can be replaced with semi-sweet or dark chocolate.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until thoroughly combined.
  6. Roll the dough into balls and arrange them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Baking
  1. Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
  2. Let the cookies cool completely on the baking sheet.
Topping
  1. Once cool, drizzle or spread caramel sauce over each cookie and allow it to set.
  2. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler and pour over the caramel layer.
  3. Let the chocolate set, and enjoy your homemade Twix Cookies!

Notes
