Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup warm whole milk
  • 2 ¼ tsp instant yeast
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • ½ cup browned butter
  • 2 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • 4 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup brown sugar (for filling)
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream

Method
 

  1. Prepare the brown butter by melting it in a pan until golden and fragrant. Let it cool.
  2. Activate yeast in warm milk with a spoon of sugar. Let it sit until foamy.
  3. Mix sugar, eggs, browned butter, vanilla bean paste, and flour. Knead into a smooth dough.
  4. Cover and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Roll dough into a rectangle. Spread with brown butter, sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Roll tightly into a log and cut into 12 rolls using floss or a sharp knife.
  7. Place rolls in a greased baking dish. Cover and let rise again for 30 minutes.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Frost warm rolls with cream cheese glaze and serve.
